At Meltopia, we believe creativity is more than talent—it is identity, expression, purpose, connection, and sometimes survival.

Behind every performance, production, rehearsal, audition, tour, artwork, and creative pursuit is a human being navigating pressure, uncertainty, ambition, visibility, rejection, growth, and change.

Our Research & Development programme exists to better understand those experiences.

We are developing projects that explore the lived experiences, mental health, wellbeing, resilience, identity, and creative journeys of performers and creatives across disciplines.

Whether you are a musician, singer, actor, dancer, writer, producer, content creator, visual artist, or creative professional—your voice matters.

What Will You Be Asked?

Questionnaires may explore topics such as:

• Performance experiences

• Confidence and self-belief

• Motivation and persistence

• Emotional wellbeing

• Relationships and support systems

• Career experiences and challenges

• Meaning, purpose, and personal growth

Most questionnaires take approximately 5–15 minutes

Participation is voluntary.

Responses will be handled respectfully and, where applicable, stored securely and processed in accordance with data protection and ethical research principles.

You may choose not to answer any question that feels uncomfortable and may withdraw participation, as stated in the individual study information.

Any personal data collected through questionnaires, research activities, mailing lists, or participation opportunities will be handled responsibly and in accordance with UK data protection legislation.

Information will only be collected where necessary, stored securely, and used for the purposes explained to you at the point of collection.
